THE ROLE

Tesco Ireland is currently seeking to appoint a Supervising Pharmacist in xxxxx Superstore who will have responsibility for Supervising and leading the Pharmacy Team to deliver the best service for our customers.

You will be responsible for

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Working in partnership with the healthcare team using your own intuition, expertise and experience to deliver complete health care solutions for our customers and patients
  • Lead and coach your team to deliver the best Pharmacy business for customers by ensuring great service, standards and availability
  • Ensure that you and your colleagues are operating within, and complying with, all relevant legislation at all times
  • Actively supporting the development, education & training of colleagues; building pharmacy capability of store teams
  • Creates an environment that encourages innovation and personal growth

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will ensure customers are at the heart of everything we do, from ensuring medicine availability, dispensing, giving health care advice to carrying out tests, you and your team will be at hand to deliver our vision
  • You will work to deliver world class professional services – personally and through the pharmacy team
  • You will be responsible for personally managing, controlling and supervising the pharmacy
  • You will ensure on-going compliance PSI requirements, keeping the pharmacy premises, us and our customers safe and legal
  • You will conduct regular reviews, audits and risk assessments to protect patient and public safety
  • You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-7 colleagues, inspiring and developing your team to deliver a premium service to our customers. Creating rosters for all colleagues, ensuring sufficient cover is always available so that the Pharmacy can operate safely. Creating and maintaining a team environment
  • You will have excellent communication skills
  • You will lead, motivate and develop your colleagues, actively support their development, education and training; building pharmacy capability of store teams
  • You will build working relationships with GP Surgeries and local hospitals
  • You will ensure payment claims are accurate for anything covered by the PCRS
  • You will dispense all prescription types under all Irish Government schemes, ensuring payment claims are accurate for anything dispensed under these schemes.

You will need

EXPERIENCE

  • You will possess a pharmacy degree, be a member of The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and have at least three years’ post registration experience working in a Retail Pharmacy Business.
