About the role

Tesco Ireland are currently looking to recruit 1 Collections Associate.

Based at our Waterford Customer Engagement Centre, the successful candidates will assist with both inbound and outbound telephone contacts with customers who are in arrears.

You will collaborate with the Customer Care team to ensure the customer experience is managed to a high standard.

You will be responsible for


  • Account maintenance including follow up
  • Maintaining QA controls including company satisfaction records
  • Working within the company's credit policy, recommending changes as necessary to support growth and process improvement while limiting revenue risk
  • Negotiate and communicate credit decisions, recommend payment terms & credit limits to new and existing customers via collections lead
  • Reducing delinquency of assigned debt accounts
  • Monitoring, tracking and enforcing departmental policies, procedures and goals while working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure consistency and best practice
  • Participating in Every Day conversations with my manager 
  • Sharing my knowledge freely with others
  • Supporting my colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure consistency and best practice
  • Delivering my own personal objectives
