About the role

Tesco Ireland is currently seeking to recruit an Online Brand Manager to develop and implement propositions and marketing campaigns for Tesco’s Online Grocery Home Shopping business.  

We are looking for a passionate marketer with e-commerce experience, agency or client-side background, ideally within a retail/FMCG sector. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for leading the development of online propositions and implementing an online marketing strategy for Tesco Online.  

You will be responsible for

  • Leading on projects to define strategic propositions for Tesco Online based on customer needs, market trends and opportunities to increase sales & profit growth and deliver against the long-term and annual business plans.
  • Working closely with the Online Development team in the UK & the Online Leadership team in Ireland (Customer, Range, Fulfilment & Technology) to deliver and optimise propositions.
  • Planing marketing campaigns for Tesco Online to support acquisition, retention, & basket size growth, working closely with the Digital and Media Activation teams to execute the plans.
  • Developing & executing communications to drive awareness and participation with new and existing propositions (e.g. Click+Collect, Home Delivery, Delivery Saver Programme).
  • Leading the customer communications plan for the Website and App evolution programme. Work cross-functionally with Technology, UK Online Team, and Internal Communications to develop the right communication and training materials to support successful implementation.
  • Managing the annual online marketing budget, ensure activities planned are optimised in support of online business KPIS and that spend is forecasted and managed accurately.
  • Being the brand guardian, ensuring consistency of branding and messaging across all touchpoints of the customer journey (vans, C+C sites, website, communications).
  • Closely monitor online performance to ensure KPIs are being met. Identify trends and insights, optimise spend and performance based on insights.

You will need

  • Relevant e-commerce marketing experience, ideally with Retail/FMCG background.
  • Track record of building innovative strategies & executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong strategic and analysis skills, confident with digital data, ideally with web analytics experience.
  • Able to analyse data to produce meaningful and actionable insights to support strategic decisions on propositions and customer communications.
  • Passionate about e-commerce with a proven all-round knowledge of online marketing.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills. Able to influence from operational through to leadership team.
