About the role

Tesco Ireland are currently seeking to recruit a Financial Control Support to join our Tesco Mobile Business Finance function. The role will act as both a key finance support to the Financial Controller in terms the periodic process but importantly act as key change agent in transforming the TMI Control environment

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting the Financial Controller with all Period End and Year End Close requirements including; closing key ledger accounts, journal review and completeness checks.
  • Support the Year End Statutory Audit process, including the production of Financial Statements.
  • Work closely with both external and internal auditors.
  • Assist on the implementation of key financial indicators for the business.
  • Own the business relationship with our finance managed service.
  • Work closely with FP&A in understanding trends in the business- Revenue, Sac, Direct Costs, and Opex etc. including the provision of supporting analysis.
  • Develop the existing financial controls and procedures of the company and ensuring consistency of accounting policy and procedures.
  • Work with Financial Controller to consider opportunities within existing Treasury function
  • Transform and upweight the role played by our Managed Service team
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for the business

You will need

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) • Expert knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards
  • Commercial awareness of the telecoms industry
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise
  • Excellent people communicator. • Proven Self Starter
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint • Strong communication skills including written and verbal
