About the role

Tesco Ireland is seeking to recruit a Head of Reward and Benefits as part of our People Team. This key role sits on the People Leadership team for Ireland reporting to the People Director. The Head of Reward and Benefits will be responsible for leading a total reward team covering compensation, benefits, wellness and organisation design.


You will be responsible for

  • Developing a Reward & Benefits strategy built on market insights which evolves the total reward offering in line with market trends to support business plan
  • Being a supportive leader, ensuring the team are developed and encouraged to reach their full potential, leading by example and driving a culture of continuous growth and improvement
  • Leading the annual reward cycle including annual Pay Review, bonus plans and market benchmarking 
  • Leading the annual benefits cycle including Save As You Earn, Cycle to Work, Colleague Clubcard discounts, Total Reward Statements and insurance renewals
  • In partnership with the Group Global Mobility COE, ensuring all home and host assignments are managed according to Tesco GM program
  • Partnerships with People Partners and Functional Managers, enabling the delivery of the colleague life cycle and driving an inclusive culture
  • Building colleague and manager understanding and awareness and value of Tesco Reward and Benefits 
  • Working in partnership with business leadership teams to understand organisation change requirements, defining target structures and aligning to service models

You will need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • Experience implementing Reward strategies with in-depth understanding of pay frameworks, benchmarking & incentive schemes
  • Experience managing benefit programs
  • Experience in being a People Manager 
  • Experience working in matrix organisations
  • Experience with Oracle Work & Pay desirable
