Price Strategy Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

Tesco Ireland are currently seeking to appoint a Price Strategy Manager (Maternity Leave Cover). This role is to ensure that all price management routines and price projects deliver our customer promises.

• Scheduling price checks with the price checking agencies
• Managing price checking so that it delivers the right data to support better prices for customers
• Reporting on how our prices compare to our competitors and identify how we get cheaper for customers
• Selecting lines to lower prices using price check competitor information
• Managing the weekly Price Group agenda, facilitating the right decisions for customers, and ensuring all next steps are delivered on time
• Analysing pricing data, write commentary, strengths, and weaknesses for week on week price reports for TDG
• Producing ad hoc pricing reports for Commercial to help understand pricing issues
• Support the design and development of a new Price and Promotion Policy to sustain and govern our ongoing price and promotions strategy
• Support the design and development of a pricing database that will maintain all the price data and support the analysis and reporting process
• Help deliver the cost centre budget and feedback to my manager ways of reducing cost

• Significant experience of managing large projects and processes within a customer driven environment
• Experience in a mathematical/Finance background
• Experience of managing a small team in a challenging operational environment
