BI Analyst (Tesco Mobile Ireland)

Tesco Ireland are currently seeking to appoint a BI Analyst within our Tesco Mobile Team. As a member of the Tesco Mobile team you will be responsible for the delivery of companywide reporting, analytics and analysis. The delivery of your analysis will be from our MicroStrategy business intelligence reporting environment. You will support all functions of Tesco Mobile by delivering timely, accurate and high-quality reports.

• Building advanced reporting solutions (Dashboards & Reports) that will draw beneficial insights that are accurate, understandable and actionable using our BI Reporting Tool.
• Maintaining Data Quality measures within the BI Model in order to preserve and advance the value it gives to the Business.
• Creating requirements & basic functional specification documents necessary for implementing enhanced solutions.
• Collaborating with external developers during the technical design and implementation stages to ensure the effective implementation of projects.
• Troubleshooting, analysing, identifying the root cause of any issue that may arise through various mediums.
• Providing basic training to end users on various aspects of Self-Service BI.
• Identifying improvements in how our BI systems and data sources can bring additional business value particularly in the Customer field.

• To be highly organised and capable of managing conflicting priorities & deadlines.
• To be pro-active and demonstrable experience of using initiative.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (both Internal & External) across varying business functions.
• The ability to work in a multi-project environment and support multiple internal customers.
• To be able to think outside the box when required to solve new challenges
• Hands on regular experience using market leading BI tools (eg tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy).
• Working knowledge of SQL although not essential would be beneficial.
• The ability to interrogate large datasets.
• To demonstrate strong report writing skills.
• History of Customer Analytics would be beneficial
• Experience with advanced Excel (i.e. VBA)
• Excellent People Skills for this role.
