Finance Manager - Grocery Home Shopping (Fixed Term)

Tesco Ireland are currently seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to support our Grocery Home Shopping (GHS) channel. The role will act as the primary expert and key finance lead in supporting our GHS growth journey; providing insight, challenge and strategic support to the business. The role will help drive the business forward by leveraging financial and commercial expertise and understanding.

• Seeking out and facilitating the unlock of value and innovation within our Online Grocery space.
• Ensuring the business understands and delivers against performance KPIs through working collaboratively with the GHS lead team.
• Partnering medium- and long-term strategic value add projects through working as part of multi discipline Natural Work Teams
• Utilising your financial expertise and commercial acumen to build business cases that meet the capital needs of the business whilst ensuring are financial KPI’s are satisfied.
• Budget lead on GHS P&L and 12-month Capital requirements as part of the annual planning process
• Periodic review of Management Accounts and preparation of Management Information Pack
• Identifying and pro-actively highlighting risks and working to mitigate issues relating to in year performance
• Constructively challenging and recommend changes to the business underpinned by sound financial expertise
• Adhering to and operating within the internal control guidelines to safeguard the company’s interests
• Adhering to all Tesco policies and guidance, including storage protocols and completing all required commercial income and grocery regulation training so that I have zero grocery regulations breaches
• Ensuring any known grocery regulation complaints are reported to the Legal team within 48 hours of receipt and leading a culture of compliance within my team
• Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

• Previous experience in a commercially focused finance role
• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 – 5 PQE
• Financial planning, analysis and modelling experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
• A proven track record of building strong cross functional relationships
• Excellent analytical skills
• Influencing skills
• Strong communication skills including written and verbal
