THE ROLE

Tesco Ireland is currently seeking to appoint a Support Pharmacist in xxxxx Superstore.

You will be responsible for

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Working in partnership with the healthcare team using your own intuition, expertise and experience to deliver complete health care solutions for our customers and patients
Deliver the best Pharmacy business for customers by ensuring great service, standards and availability
Ensure that you and your colleagues are operating within, and complying with, all relevant legislation at all times
Actively supporting the development, education & training of colleagues; building pharmacy capability of store teams

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will ensure customers are at the heart of everything we do, from ensuring medicine availability, dispensing, giving health care advice to carrying out tests, you and your team will be at hand to deliver our vision
You will work to deliver world class professional services – personally and through the pharmacy team
You will ensure on-going compliance PSI requirements, keeping the pharmacy premises, us and our customers safe and legal
You will have excellent communication skills
You will build working relationships with GP Surgeries and local hospitals
You will ensure payment claims are accurate for anything covered by the PCRS
You will dispense all prescription types under all Irish Government schemes, ensuring payment claims are accurate for anything dispensed under these schemes.

You will need

EXPERIENCE

You must be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland

Step 1

Once you find a job you want to apply for, you can complete the online application form for that role. This will contain some basic questions and a test to see how you would react to situations you could come across whilst working. You will also need to submit your right-to-work documents to be checked. Once you have submitted your application we will review it to see if you have the skills that we are looking for.

Step 2

If successful we will invite you in for an interview at the location that you have applied to work in – for management roles there will be an initial telephone interview, before the face-to-face interview.

Step 3

At the interview you will complete a variety of tasks depending on the role, including a face-to-face interview. You will be given the opportunity to 'have a go' at the type of work you have applied for: this could be on the shopfloor, or completing a driving assessment. This will give you the opportunity to decide if Tesco is right for you and if we think you are right for Tesco.
